The race
The Romeo&Giulietta Run Half Marathon brings the half marathon to Verona on Valentine's Day: on Sunday 14 February 2027 the event celebrates its 20th anniversary. It is organised by G.A.A.C. 2007 Veronamarathon with the City of Verona, listed in the World Athletics, AIMS and FIDAL calendars and holds the FIDAL Gold Label.
The start is on Piazzale Olimpia, by the stadium, and the finish is inside the Bentegodi Stadium; the 21K starts in waves from 9:30, with corrals assigned by declared time. Alongside the half there is the Relay, a non-competitive relay for two people who split the course (8 km and 13 km), and the Family Run, open to the whole family and run in fancy dress to celebrate the Verona Carnival.
The average temperature at this time of year is 9 degrees. The Expo is at the PalaOlimpia AGSM AIM Forum, where bibs are collected on Friday 12 and Saturday 13 February and late entries are still possible. On Sunday a free shuttle links the start and finish area with the city centre; there are showers in the expo area and aid stations with gluten-free products too. The half marathon fee starts at €30 and rises by deadline up to €60, or €70 at the Expo.

Course
Start on Piazzale Olimpia, next to the Bentegodi Stadium, and finish inside the stadium. The half marathon measures 21.0975 km. Aid stations at km 4.5 (water), km 10 (water, AcquaVitamin and supplements), km 15 and 19.5 (also solid food and gluten-free products) and at the finish, with a take-away refreshment.
In the Relay the first runner covers 8 km to the changeover on the Lungadige Attiraglio, where they collect their bag and medal and take the shuttle to the stadium; the second reaches the changeover on the 8:45 shuttle from the expo area and runs the last 13 km to the Bentegodi. The Family Run starts and finishes in the stadium area, with one aid station on the course.
Time limit 3 hours for the half and the Relay, 1 hour 30 minutes for the Family Run; slower participants must follow the highway code. Sweeper buses for runners who drop out.
