The race
The Skagen Marathon takes place on Saturday 2 October 2027 in Skagen, at the northernmost tip of Denmark, starting and finishing at Skagen harbour. Runners choose between the marathon, the half marathon (the most popular distance), the 30 km Grenen Trail, 10 km, 5 km and the Walk & Talk walk over the half-marathon distance.
The routes run through the countryside around the town and its streets; the marathon passes the Sand-Buried Church (Den Tilsandede Kirke). The marathon starts at 10:00, with entry from DKK 550 until 31 December 2026.
