The race
The Mezza Maratona della Grecìa Salentina e della Pizzica, organised by ASD La Mandra, holds its seventh edition on Sunday 15 November 2026 in Calimera, one of the Griko-speaking towns of Salento. Start and finish are in Piazza del Sole, with the gun at 9:00 whatever the weather, on a FIDAL-certified 21.097 km course over urban and rural roads.
Fees are low and rise over time: €10 to €15 without race pack, €15 to €25 with race pack and official T-shirt. Services are generous for a small-town race: pacers from 1h20' to 2h20', start pens by qualifying time, bag storage, drink and sponge stations, a finish refreshment bag and a medal for all ranked runners. Bibs and packs are collected at the Mezza Marathon Village in Piazza del Sole.
Course
Start and finish in Piazza del Sole, Calimera. The 2026 rules only state that the FIDAL-certified course runs on municipal roads in and outside town; no official 2026 map has been published. There are drink and sponge stations along the course, a refreshment bag at the finish and transport to the finish for runners who drop out. Bag storage is in the municipal gym, 100 metres from the start and finish area.

- FIDAL membersMembers of an Italian athletics club (Italian Athletics Federation).
- RuncardFIDAL card for runners without a club: buy it online and pair it with a competitive athletics medical certificate.
- Sports promotion bodiesMembers of an Italian sports promotion body recognised by FIDAL, with a competitive medical certificate.
- International runnersMembers of a federation affiliated to World Athletics, or with a Runcard and a competitive medical certificate.
Open from age 18 to FIDAL members for 2026; from age 20 to Runcard or Runcard EPS holders with a competitive medical certificate for athletics; and to members of clubs in World Athletics federations with a self-declaration signed at collection. Online entries on Cronogare, with bank transfer within two days. Fees: first 50 entrants and in any case until 15 August €10 without pack or €15 with pack; until 31 August €13 or €20; 1 September to 26 October €15 or €25; 27 October to 13 November only €15 without pack.
Personalised bib for entries by 5 November. No refunds; by 20 October you can defer to 2027 or transfer to someone else for €10. Time limit 2h45', after which runners continue on the pavement but are still ranked.
Chip to be returned (€15 if lost). Prizes in kind for the top three overall and top five in each category, vouchers of €100 to €500 under set times and cash prizes for the largest clubs.
