The race
The Marafraus is the running event of Guasila, in southern Sardinia, organised by A.S.D. A.M.P.A. Training with the patronage of the town council and the approval of FIDAL Sardinia. The seventh edition takes place on Sunday 25 October 2026 at the municipal sports ground in Largo Padre Mirto, with assembly at 8:30 and races from 9:30.
The programme includes:
- the competitive race of about 7.6 km for Juniors, Promesse and Seniors;
- the 2.9 km recreational walk;
- FIDAL youth races on the track;
- a promotional run for pupils of the Guasila schools.
After the prize-giving there is a buffet for participants.
Course
The start is on the track of the Largo Padre Mirto sports ground. The competitive race covers a mixed town circuit of asphalt, track and a dirt section near the sports ground three times, for about 7.6 km in total.
The recreational walk does one lap of 2.9 km. Youth races up to the Allievi category are all held on the track.

Rules and requirements
- FIDAL membersMembers of an Italian athletics club (Italian Athletics Federation).
- RuncardFIDAL card for runners without a club: buy it online and pair it with a competitive athletics medical certificate.
- Sports promotion bodiesMembers of an Italian sports promotion body recognised by FIDAL, with a competitive medical certificate.
The competitive race is open to the following, with a competitive medical certificate valid at least until race day:
- FIDAL members for 2026;
- members of affiliated sports promotion bodies;
- Runcard holders.
The fee is €18 for the competitive race and €12 for the walk, preferably paid by bank transfer. Entries close on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at midnight: FIDAL members enter through the Online Services, Runcard or EPS card holders by email to the organisers, and walkers with the online form.
The fee includes:
- technical shirt and commemorative medal;
- medical assistance;
- aid stations during the race and the final buffet.
Showers are also available after the race.
