The race
The Maratonina delle Castagne is a road race in Rocca di Papa, in the Castelli Romani hills, organised by A.S.D. Atletica Rocca di Papa and listed in the regional FIDAL calendar. The 2026 edition is the twenty-second and is dedicated to the Mario Gabrielli Memorial.
It takes place on Sunday 25 October 2026, starting at 9:30; runners gather from 7:30 at the Campi d'Annibale municipal park in Piazza G. Di Vittorio. The course is about 10 km long (the rules say 9.8 km) and the time limit is 1 hour 30 minutes.
Every finisher receives a commemorative medal and a race pack of food products; according to the ENDU presentation, polenta, wine and chestnuts are served after the race.

Entries
From 21 September to 22 October 2026 entry costs €15, online via ENDU or by email to castagne@evodata.it with a bank transfer. On race morning you can enter for €16, if bibs are still available.
Timing is by chip, to be returned at the finish: unreturned chips are charged €20 to the club.
