The race
La Speranza che Corre is a road race in central Messina, now in its first edition, organised by A.S.D. Polisportiva Europa Messina and listed on the FIDAL local calendar. It takes place on the afternoon of Saturday 24 October 2026, with the meeting point at 16:30 at the junction of Via Roosevelt and Via Napoli.
The main race, from 18:00, covers about 6 km and is open to Juniors, Under-23s, Seniors and Masters; before that, from 17:00, the youth races are held, from the youngest age group (200 m) up to Under-18s. The first man and first woman over 6,000 metres receive the 1st «La Speranza che corre» Trophy.
Course
The flat circuit, closed to traffic, is about 1,200 metres long and runs along Via Napoli, Via San Cosimo, Via Calabria and Via Lazio. The main race covers five laps; the distances given in the rules are approximate.

The race is open to FIDAL members for 2026, Runcard or Runcard-EPS holders and members of affiliated sports promotion bodies. Entries are sent by email to sicilia@evodata.it together with a copy of the bank transfer, by midnight on 20 October 2026. The fee is €10 for the main race, €4.50 for the 12-15 age groups and €3.50 for the youngest; no-shows are not refunded. Timing by Evodata.
